Postmortem
Oh dear, I can't find where the directions for doing this went to. I guess I'll try and provide the basics for now.
Honestly, the main thing that this project really drove home is how chaotic life can be. In the time I've been working on this, there have been who knows how many things that impeded my progress, from sickness, to other classes, the death of those close to me, and all the other little things that are hard to control in life.
It's actually kind of interesting how things lined up though. Back when I was working with the Yellow Team, They originally told me that they wanted the story to be about the protagonist learning that some tragedies are uncontrollable, and nothing they could have done would have prevented what happened. With this project being made from a proposed script from that time, that was the message I was trying to go with.
Even so, I can't help but wonder if I could have changed things if I had taken different actions. Would I still be with the Yellow Team working on a joint project, or was the rift between us something that I couldn't have avoided on my own? Were there things working on this project I could have done differently so that the result would be more complete? I don't have any way of knowing now.
In any case that time has passed. What's done is done, and all I can do is keep moving forward.
While it would have been nice to have character sprites, music, and have the story get farther along, I'm honestly not that disappointed with how things ended up. I tried to make the writing flow naturally, and approach what the game covers in a (hopefully) realistic way. A part of me feels that I probably should have switched to writing a story that I'd be more comfortable with (and one that wouldn't remind my sister of past traumas), but I'm hoping that this still turned out fairly well, and that it might affect people in a positive way.
Sincerely,
The Developer
